Second, if you haven’t picked a program to market or you have dozens that you have joined that haven’t made you much money. I highly recommend you get the following e-book to help you decide on a new program or the best of your existing programs. I wish I could give everyone this book for free but I can’t. To have rights to distribute this book, I had to agree to never give it away. You may have seen this book advertised for $25. That is the normal sales price. I am allowed to have special promotions. I am going to sell it for the minimum allowed $5. This could easily be the best $5 you will ever spend.
If I had this book when I started Internet marketing, I would have saved a lot of money and time on worthless programs. As I said earlier, I would give it away if I could but by agreement, I can’t. This is too valuable of a tool for me to loose my ability to share it with my downlines.
Advertising
Whatever program or programs you have chosen, you are going to have to advertise. There are many ways to advertise. I am going to start with the simplest.
Traffic exchanges, surf sites, are the simplest way to advertise. Every program I have seen will give you at least one “affiliate link”. Some give you several.
Your affiliate link is a URL that points to your program’s splash page and insures you get credit for the referral when they sign-up.
Just in case you don’t understand that sentence, let me provide some definitions
- URL - Stands for Uniform Resource Locater - the global address of documents and other resources on the world wide web
- Affiliate Link - the URL of the program which contains the affiliate’s ID (yours) used to direct the prospect to promotional information usually a splash page
- Splash Page - the web page seen by prospects giving them the option to continue to the main site usually containing promotional information.
Traffic Exchanges allow you to display your program’s splash page to other people as they surf. To have your splash page displayed on the traffic exchange, you need to have credits. You earn credits by “surfing” and viewing others’ splash pages for several seconds. (Time varies by traffic exchange.) You also can buy credits.
Whether you already belong to any traffic exchanges or not, here are two free programs to join to help you with your surfing efforts.

Why are you doing this?
A lot of traffic exchanges give you bonuses for referrals, and some give you bonus credits based on your referral’s surfing. This will help reduce your surfing time as your referrals grow. Also, both Vital Viral and Traffic Hoopla are programs you can promote. They won’t make you any money but they can get you prospects and help reduce your surfing time.
One last thing about traffic exchanges. All of them have upgrades available. These upgrades are typically a monthly fee. Upgraded accounts get more credits for surfing and other benefits depending on the exchange. I would recommend you don’t upgrade for now. You can always do it later when you are making money but that is up to you.
For now, join some traffic exchanges and start surfing. Don’t start advertising yet. Right now you just want to accumulate credits. In my next post, we will start using your affiliate links.
