My last two posts have talked about having the right mindset to succeed in your Internet business.  One last aspect of having the right mindset is,

“Do you believe you can become rich?”

This question may sound funny; but if you do not believe you can become rich, you probably won’t short of winning the lottery.  I would like to highly recommend two books that will help you get the “I can/will be rich” attitude.  These books are “Think and Grow Rich” by Napoleon Hill and “The Secret of Getting Rich” by Wallace D. Wattles.

Since “Think and Grow Rich” was published in 1937, it is credited with creating more millionaires than any other source.  Andrew Carnegie was fascinated with success.  He wanted to understand why some people were successful while others were not.  He commissioned Napoleon Hill to interview the most successful men and find a success formula that would work for anyone.

Hill interviewed 504 of successful men in the United States.  After twenty years, the result was a book that condensed everything he had learned into 13 steps or lessons.  It has questionnaires and excises as well as the written content you would expect.  It also teaches not to give up but to see failures as learning experiences.  Successful people never see temporary defeat as permanent failure.

I attribute this book with my current Internet success.  I could have easily given up trying to make money from the Internet after my first year with all the mistakes I made.  Instead, I used the mistakes to figure out what I was doing wrong and using that knowledge to succeed.

Wallace D. Wattles introduced the world to the power of positive thinking with his book “The Science of Getting Rich”.  He had a huge influence on the authors of books like “The Laws of Attraction”, “The Science of Success”, and “The Power of Positive Thinking”.  This book has been referenced in hundreds, probably thousands, of success books and seminars.  Why not read where it all started.

This book can be a little difficult to read.  It was written in 1910 and writing styles have changed a lot since then.  Do not let that prevent you from reading “The Science of Getting Rich”.  It is worth it.

In Wallace D. Wattles own words, “The ownership of money and property comes as a result of doing things in a certain way.  Those who do things in this certain way, whether on purpose or accidentally, get rich.”
